I am loving new books that really focus on other peoples upbringings as it relates to their own culture. I think it provides readers of a more well-rounded understanding of people unlike themselves. I think the author did a great job of storytelling and had me drawn in throughout the story. I wouldn’t give it 5 stars just because it wasn’t really what I was expecting based on the first impression however it is one that I am proud to display on my bookshelf. When reading any book I always ask myself “but did I learn something new” and I believe I did in this book. I am looking forward to reading more from this author. Although this book may not be on my top favorites it was a beautiful story and one I enjoyed reading. I still think the cover is so well done and would definitely draw me in at the bookstore. Overall I would rate this a 4 out of 5 and I would recommend to a friend.
