Overall, I would say this book was pretty good. What I thought this book did fairly well was the storytelling. The plot was extremely easy to follow and I was always interested in seeing how the characters' relationships would develop and affect the book. I did like how this book would occasionally switch to the point of view of somebody else to show their feelings. I feel as though this provided more depth into the book since it was not just always from the perspective of Amir. This book was really heartwarming. Once Amir made it to Rome, all of the characters were extremely supportive of each other and I enjoyed the growing relationship between them.
The one thing about this book that I did not love is that some of the characters did not feel like individuals. While I had some awareness of who they were in the group setting, I feel as though some of the characters having more individuality would have been valuable.
