This book hooked me in from the start! It begins with a family being detained at the airport for arguing on a plane. Definitely a great hook and got me into this novel quickly.
The story goes on to tell the journey of a young, gay teenager who also happens to be Persian. When he is about to be outed by a high school classmate, he skips graduation and flees to Rome, where he meets a series of young, out men to help him on his own journey.
The story goes through his adventures (and misadventures!) in Rome, and the reactions his family has when they all reunite.
Generally, I really enjoyed and recommend this book. It was entertaining and told a great story of a young man coming out to his family. I really enjoyed it!
