How It All Blew Up is not my usual choice for genre of reading material, and I was previously unfamiliar with this author. I found it to be a captivating read. Author Arvin Ahmadi has created a window into main character Amir Azadi’s world that’s vibrant and engaging. I quickly fell into Amir’s world as he walked through his journey in these pages. Overall, this was a quick and easy read, but one that will stick with me for a long time. The right blend of humor and serious made it approachable and simultaneously thought provoking. In my opinion, this book would be an excellent book club read for young adults and older. Authentic, brave, beautifully written, I can’t wait to pass this book on to someone else to read.
