So I will be honest, after reading the description I wasn't thinking I would care much for this book, but the First Impression changed my mind! Amir and I are about as different as you can get, but I still felt myself cheering for him and wanting to understand what was going on in his head and help him to feel better. I want to know more of his story and more of what in the world happened that led them to an interrogation room! I also really appreciated the mixed writing style (interview and narrative) and perspectives. It really gives a lot more depth to the story and what was going on for each of the characters during the same event.
