In a world where we seek to amplify own voices, this is the perfect book to enter our lives! We have so many different potential perspectives and viewpoints to speak about experiences in this book. I have always admittedly gravitated towards LGBTQ own voices vs BIPOC and immigrant voices. There isnt a reason for that, it's just what peaked my interested and one I could relate to more easily. I have been trying to challenge myself to change that and this book looks like it would be an excellent way to help ease me into new perspectives and own voices by merging some of what I already feel comfortable with and a story I'm already interested in!
