“How I Built This” by Guy Raz is a nice guide to start your own business, with chapter divided into all the steps needed, including ideation and promotion. It draws on interviews with several business owners, so you get real stories within it. Overall it’s well organized and such, but I feel that the book would be more interesting if the cases appeared in separate boxes like case studies or something like that, maybe at the end of each chapter, highlighting one business that did that step well, and then giving tips from what they learned. That way, the book could be interesting even if you’re not really looking to start a business. But other than that it’s a nice book and made me look into learning more about the podcast since I want to learn more about the businesses featured (more than the how to process of it). And I wish I could come up with a success story myself. Maybe in the future.
