This was the perfect quick and spooky read to get me out of a reading slump. We follow the Hollow sisters, 3 young girls who go missing without a trace from a quiet street in Scotland. They mysteriously turn up one month later on the exact street they went missing from and from that moment on, strange things and mysterious happenings seem to follow them. Their eyes that were once blue are now black, hair that was once brown, is now almost white and they have no memory of what happened during the month they were missing. We are getting the story from Iris's perspective, the youngest of the three sisters. Now a highschool student, Iris is just trying to navigate her way through life, when her eldest sister Grey, goes missing.

The plot was fairly fast paced which kept me interested and the author dropped lots of creepy little hints as to what was actually going on with the three Hollow sisters, which kept me speculating. The writing style was dark and beautiful which added to the overall atmosphere of the story. I liked that the author was able to give each sister her own distinct personality and quirks without taking away from the mystery of their characters. The ending fell a little flat for me, I feel like it wasn't twisty enough? I wanted it to be more dramatic or jaw-dropping somehow? I still really enjoyed it and would recommend to people who enjoy horror, mysteries and dark fairytales with a very high creep factor.
