First off, I fell in love with the cover art and the title was what drew me in to the book in the first place. After reading the first look I literally prayed to win this book, I was dying to read it and couldn't believe I actually won the raffle. This story was everything I thought it was going to be and more. It has the feel of a fairytale gone wrong, mixed with a ghost story. Once I started reading I just couldn't put the book down. I felt for the mother, those her children and in her heart and mind know that the children who came back weren't her own but she still tried to love and raise them, and did actually love iris. The bond that iris has with her mother, even with that knowledge the mother had was unbelievable. My heart broke for the loss of their father, with him knowing and not being able to handle the truth. The twists in this story will have your head spinning, I mean a few times I thought I had it figured out and it turned out to be something totally different. 😅
