Boy does the cover foreshadow in a way I was not expecting! To add on to the flower motif, each chapter has this beautiful floral arrangement in the corner that is beautiful. I really hope that is included in the published version of the book.
This book was so hauntingly good and I couldn't put it down. The relationship between the sisters and their mom in connection with their past added to my interest in this story. Each character was written and well developed with their flaws and faults. I also really enjoyed the elements that Tyler brought to the tale and I'm glad he became one of the main characters. There was this constant push and pull between events and chapters that had me turning those pages.
I will say that there was quite the character change with Iris's mother, Cate. I actually am really happy with her development because Iris and Cate are able to work on their troubles and become happier. She definitely was a character I grew to like.
