The author definitely gets points for creativity. This book starts weird and keeps getting weirder. Iris, Vivi, and Grey Hollow disappeared when they were little and returned one month later with white hair, dark eyes and a scar at the base of their throats. No one knows where they went or how they returned. They can compel people to do things they want. Their dad always thought something was wrong with them and ended up committing suicide not long after their return. Now Grey has been abducted and Iris and her sister Vivi will have to jump headlong into the mystery of their disappearance. Because a horned man is following her, and it turns out Grey knows what happened after all.
While it was different from anything I've read I still can't decide if that's a good thing. It took me a while to get into the story and while it was interesting, I wasn't as engrossed as I wanted to be. I guess I just didn't get the hype. It was okay, just not as amazing as I was waiting for.
