It wouldn't be a lie if I say that I picked up this book because of its GORGEOUS cover (blood and flowers seeping out from the visage? i am sold) but I binge-read it because of its gripping story. A page-turner instead, which you cannot put down. The suspense of the disappearance of Hollow sisters (who, mind you are characterized very strongly, especially the eldest; you can feel the her dominance and confidence radiating from the book) and their mysterious return after exactly a month was no less than a bolt from the blue. The book manages to live up to its genre - horror - through the dark aesthetics and imagery and will give you all the spooks at midnight, especially!
A true masterpiece from Krystal Sutherland that I highly recommend everyone to read, if they are looking for an eerie and mysterious novel. It's fast-paced and rather short..so won't take long to finish too!
