From the prologue it is very enticing. I got major Caraval vibes from the very beginning. I have never read the night circus but have also heard this book so very similar to that book. I thought the magic in this book was very interesting but a little vague. It could have had a little more description on how the magic worked. I really enjoyed following these sisters around and cheer them on as they uncover the secrets that are hotel magnifique. Again, this also was a huge relevance to the Caraval series. Although this book was interesting it resembled Caraval a bit too much. The plot fell flat a little for me and could have made a better connection with the characters. The idea of a magic hotel coming around a relocating to a new location every midnight is such a cool idea. I think execution just could have been a bit better. Overall a descent read.
