Just by looking at the cover and title, I knew I would love this! The story is about two sisters, Jani and Zosa, who get jobs at the magical Hotel Magnifique. Jani then starts to notice strange things that cause a domino effect of events. It has magical and mysterious elements that remind me of The Night Circus and Caraval. It was a little hard to get through the beginning, but the plot was engaging and had me on the edge of my seat. What I found different about this book was how amazing the hotel seemed, but it got dark and sinister as things progressed. The antagonists were well written, and the ending was satisfying. I loved how everyone got a somewhat happy ending, and Jani and Bel's relationship was fun to read. I would recommend this to anyone who likes magical worlds, strong sibling relationship, amazing characters, and an intriguing magical system.
