I think I was not an intended audience for this book, but I still enjoyed it a lot.
This is a story about a pop singer and her rise to fame and the difficulties she encountered. There were some 90s-early 2000s settings but I did not feel like it came across too loud and distinct.
As a 34-year-old woman, the open-door scenes were a little bit cringy to me but that doesn't mean it's a bad thing because the characters were 18-20 years old, of course, it would be cringy. Just something to keep in mind if this is important to your experience.
I am curious about the audio version and how the lyrics would translate there. I found the snippets from the magazines and Wiki page and songs very insightful in understanding the character.
Overall, this would be perfect to bring with you to the beach. You can pause your reading at any moment and not be confused. It was a really fun read.
