This book didn't take me long to read but wow, was it powerful and disturbing. I've never heard of this person before, and learned of his band after the book. I point this out because had I known of him before, I likely would have had a stronger feeling about the book. Anyways, incredible book. 4 stars.
His childhood story was heartbreaking. It is obvious that he is resilient and very emotionally strong, doing the work to be a different adult than he could have become due to his childhood experiences. His processing of his childhood was very introspective and insightful, and despite his childhood, it really gives hope to the reader.
