Definitely a story that will grab at you. So much brokenness and so much fighting to survive. I know it is billed a a story of redemption but the sample chapters are filled with the symptoms of a tragic history and people caught up in their dysfunctional life. I was especially touched by the relationship between the brothers - the one so angry and violent, the other caught in a situation that allows payback for the way he has been treated but at the same time brings out the fierce need to defend. "He's my brother!" rang with so much emotion and confusion. The writing style in this book is crisp and yet deep with feeling. The characters engage you and pull at your sympathy, even down to the very angry, mean older brother. I look forward to reading the full text.
