This book was super interesting to me. Personally, I've always been fascinated with cults (as a lot of other people are, I'm sure) so this guy was immediately on my radar when I heard about it. After finally getting a chance to read it, I feel like this book swept me off my feet. The author was taken out of the cult so early in his life, but you can still see how those formative years in such a strange and unusual environment shaped the rest of his life. I was previously unaware of this author and I don't listen to his band, but this isn't one of those memoirs where you have to love the person to love what they've written. He's got such an interesting story to tell and does it in such a successful way that I didn't have to worry about being unfamiliar with him and didn't get lost throughout the book. I'd definitely this one to people that are interested!
