This book pulled me in right away with the premise. Memoirs are one of the best types of non-fiction. Then to have the story beginning in the such an isolated environment and gives scope to everything. Then in each of these excerpts, the reader is pulled in to be part of the situation. Jollett makes sure to activate all of the readers senses.
