This memoir won't be for the faint of heart - the excerpt gives us just a small slice of dealing with alcoholism, poverty and bullying. Memoirs aren't really my genre so I won't be continuing this book, but the voice felt real and the short chapters seem to be segmented to each contain a story, which I thought was nice.
