I'm trying to read out of my comfort zone, but I could tell by the blurb this book wouldn't be my cup of tea. The story feels slow going and is too descriptive, bordering on purple prose. Maybe the author is trying a little too hard. I don't like the cover at all. While the plot sounds mildly entertaining, this will be a pass from me.
