The latest installment in the Clare Fergusson/Russ Van Alstyne series is definitely worth the wait.

Three identical murders in three decades presents a great puzzle. The current chief of police being a suspect in the previous murder made it interesting. I enjoyed the switching of time periods in the different chapters to show the 3 investigations. The details of each time period were fun to read. The solution is very clever and a bit creepy.

The book is well written and the characters feel like old friends. The issues that Clare and Russ face individually and as a family are very believable and honestly presented.

The long ranging subplot concerning Kevin Flynn and Hadley Knox is getting more and more interesting. I'm looking forward to the conclusion of that story.

Hopefully this series will continue for a long time.
