Two murders of young women twenty years apart---the similarities of the crimes are startling. Is it the same killer twenty years later? A copycat murder? Neither young woman has a purse, shoes, or stockings. Their faces are untouched, still wearing full make up. Why is that some male cops automatically blame the victim, especially if she is female---or particularly if she is female? Carruthers seems determined the victim is completely to blame. Another frequently poor decision on the cops' part is to blame the person who discovers the body; that person becomes a prime suspect simply because of proximity. Hid From Our Eyes will take readers on a seriously twisted ride as the police investigate one lead after another until the puzzle is solved. Hid From Our Eyes is well-worth the mystery-reader's time.
