I have read every single one of the Russ/Clare novels. Repeatedly. I recently read a book by a different author and couldn't get past the first chapter because I kept thinking, these characters just aren't believable, they're not HUMAN and real like Russ and Clare and all of the Miller's Kill folks we've grown to know and adore. I am beyond intrigued and basically dying to know what happens in the here and now after being made privy to three generations of seemingly identical murders, until our perfectly flawed Russ (who was previously a suspect in one of these murders!) is finally in charge and will surely unravel this mystery - with Clare's help, no doubt. Not to mention the fetal alcohol tidbit, and longing to know more about the VanFergusson baby (yes that's what I'm calling it, since we don't have a name), along with the fate of the Miller's Kill police department? It's too much. This teaser is tantalizing. We need to know!
