Russ and Clare are back! I am so delighted to have received an Advanced Review Copy, as I really could not wait to catch up with the Millers Kill community. We pick up a few months after we left off with a baby, a murder (which is nearly identical to one from 1972, which is nearly identical to one in the 1950s), a referendum (will the town vote to get rid of the MKPD?), and an overtired Reverend. Well written with several stories seamlessly woven together, some interesting new characters (but lots of checking in with the ones we know), and suspense throughout, this book was an enjoyable and interesting read from start to end. Closing the book left me anxious for the next installment already.
