Those are the faces I see when I read the Russ/Clare books. This book carries on with their story. The cadence of their relationship, the give & take in their lives, the new baby, the possibility of a romance for Margy, the disappearance of Flynn....what is going to happen next to all these people that have become almost real to me? I read all the books in order and thought we had been abandoned. This book goes back several generations of police chiefs, each one linking to the next in line. The two cold case murders finally being resolved due to the advances in forensics since the first murder in 1952, all related to one another. I was pleased to be an early reader of this book, but sad that I no longer have it to look forward to. Pray tell - when can we expect the next one?
