The Ninth Book?!
I wasn't really sure what to expect when I started reading the excerpt for this one since I don't usually read mystery books, but I wasn't a fan. I even dropped it, but curiosity got the best of me and I decided to give the excerpt a second chance.
Aside from what we learn about in the summary - three murders possibly spanning every twenty years with no conclusion - nothing else really happens. Then I found out this book is the ninth book in a series of mysteries and each expands on the relationship between our detective Russ and the Clare, the person who is introduced in chapter four
It's a bit of a slow read and it didn't quite catch my attention. I won't be continuing as I'll feel like I'm missing the history between these two characters
