The part that has me wanting more is the end, with Clare at the doctor asking about fetal alcohol effect in baby. Why is she so concerned about this that she went to two doctors about it? And how will that play into the rest of the story. I like the bits from different years; it’s interesting to see how police work has changed. I also like the use of dialogue to paint the characters, as well as the descriptive language used.
