I have not read anything by this author before. I like the cover and the Addirondack setting. Each Police Chief is likeable, and each time I want to get to know them better. I look forward to getting to know Russ and his wife. The town drama over wanting to defund the local police department should add interest to the story. The writing style is short and brief but with enough detail to flesh out people, and Spencer-Fleming definitely kept my interest.
