I am not the target audience so I am not sure how much value anyone should put in when I say "this just wasn't for me". It isn't my style. If I am going to read YA then I will read fantasy or dystopian since those often can be read as clean adult books. This is a popular topic among teen readers though so I imagine it will be popular with the intended audience.
