The world is starting to lockdown with the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and Jonah and Max bump into each other in the grocery store when Jonah tried to convince Max for some toilet paper. Max is very witty and they have a little banter between them. After this moment Jonah starts to fall for Max and tries his best to get her to like him.

Jonah and Max come from two very different backgrounds of class. Where Jonah is the son of wealthy parents, Max is saving up for college by delivering groceries and her single mom is running a dry cleaning business. Though they do have their differences they both have personal problems that seem to draw them closer together.

The writing is upbeat and fun to match the dreariness that is the pandemic and lockdown. The banter between the two main characters, Jonah and Max, has me swooning. It seems like a fun summer young adult romance and I’m excited to read the rest of this book!
