This first look was a very cute insight of the blossoming relationship. I found the characters relatable. They jumped off the page and made themselves rememberable. I wanted to keep reading. I love the texting aspect. It is always one of my favorite in a book. The fact that this starts with them writing on the glass is super cute. I think in this day and age it is the perfect kind of romance to write while in quarantine. The representation of Max having a single mom really hit home with me. As a single mom myself I love to see it represented in books. I don’t think they get enough representation as good parents. The over protectiveness is very well conveyed.
The other thing I really think sets this book apart from the rest of the quarantine texting romances recently is the playlist. Playlist in a book is something I love! It helps me connect to the characters and story even more.
