I have so much respect for this book, the authors' writing, the characters. It's been a while since I've read a Young Adult book but I am so glad I read the first review for this one and received a copy of the book. The cover is captivating and the topics in the book tackle all the things that have been happening in the world, but from the point of view of two teenagers. It deals with facing the facts of having to make a living when the world just stopped, the shift for teenagers having to stay put - no more parties, no more hanging out, it just stopped. I especially appreciated the story line of Jonah's sister - having Crohn's Disease and the worry that came with that in the middle of a pandemic where toilet paper became scarce.

Jonah and Max - their lifestyles couldn't be more opposite, but they clicked. I can't imagine meeting someone in the midst of a pandemic, let alone trying to have a relationship in one. The innocence of being young, mixed with the maturity of having to be a teenager in the pandemic, deal with past guilts, present worries, mental health make for a tremendous story. I loved the added element of the storyline with Arlo - how blessed anyone would be to have an Arlo in their life.

I can't say it enough, pick up this book!
