This book is VERY meant for the moment. While I do like present day books, I feel this one will be too "niche". We all lived through the pandemic of 2020 so why write a book about it while it's still going on? It also seems like the author took what they were living in and wrote about it, which ok that's fine, but do I need a whole YA "meet cute" about it? I don't know how I feel about this one. I'll need to sit with this one for a while. While I did only read the first impression of it, so I haven't read it all I do think this one might not be for everyone. Do we really want to relive what we JUST lived through? Do we want to remember the dark, early days of the pandemic? Where everyone was hoarding food, toilet paper, gloves, masks, etc? I think this could be a good book, but I need to read more before I fully decide if I live this one or not. I much rather it have been something that was not so far in the past.
