For a lot of people, reading novels about 2020 and Covid-19 might feel too soon. I'm riveted by them, because it's now a huge piece of history that I have directly lived through. I was immediately intrigued by this novel's premise because I can relate to it so easily and and bit poignantly. Having novels like this available will be a useful addition for people who've had their own anxiety, and heartbreak, and fear, and disappointment. I also just enjoy the characters a lot already from this short excerpt. It's... unsettling in a way because I know what their future holds with Max as a personal shopper and Jonah looking forward to a summer exchange program in Paris. Anyway, I'm eager to continue this one, almost as though it were my duty to hear their stories that echo so many people's.
