We are introduced to our main character Minerva when she knocks out an intruder
breaking into her home. The intruder turned out to be Chase who was sent to find her and let her know of her inheritance from his deceased uncle. Minerva has no idea why she was left an inheritance from a stranger and sets out to investigate along with Chase, who is suspicious that his uncles passing was no accident and Minerva may be on the list of suspects.
This was a great book. You have a strong female lead who starts her own investigation business in a time when women were really expected to be nothing more than housewives. And you have Chase who is strong Male lead who you can't help but want for him to sweep Minerva off her feet. There chemistry is amazing. The story is amazing. And they leave you with a bit of a cliff hanger as there are two more books expected. I will definitely be looking for the next books!
