This was my first book by author Madeline Hunter. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect based on that. THe writing style was unique and easy to follow. The dialog flowed well. It held my interest fairly well. It was well-written.
The cover has beautiful writing, but there was nothing "eyecatching" about it overall.
This isn't my typical genre, so I do find it a LITTLE difficult to give an accurate review as I don't have much to compare it in terms of genre.
I enjoyed the book. I would recommend it to other fans of romance. There is a strong female lead, healthy romance, and a little suspense thrown in as well. While it may take a few chapters to "get into it," It does pick up and hold your interest!
