I got an advance copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for a review.

This book was a fairly quick read for me because it flowed nicely. I enjoyed reading about Minerva who was able to rebuild herself after an awful marriage to Algernon into a strong woman who can take care of herself and goes out of the way to help others with her new business that she opens after receiving a mysterious inheritance from a duke that may or may no have been murdered.

I do like how Minerva can handle any problems and does not need a man to make her way in the world. Though, that does not mean that Chase does not have a place in her world. I laughed several times at their maneuvering, as each are trying to solve the case of the duke's death. They are cute together and I don't mind if they show up in the next book of the series.

I don't usually read romance novels like this but I enjoyed it and on a side note, I must say that the cover is absolutely gorgeous! I think I would read rest of the series, if only to find out who killed the duke.
