I generally eschew romance books and have never read a regency romance. Generally, I have found their plots to be lacking as the story seems to focus more on heaving bosoms. But this book spends quite a bit of time setting up a storyline wherein the heroine is arming herself for a battle of wits. I appreciate that, and could even be tempted to continue reading. I found the multiple references to the man's muscular legs strange, and I can see that sex will be on the horizon. But I can probably skip those pages and still enjoy this book.
