...up to something really interesting. Currently we've met our characters and gotten a rough idea of their situations and personality, but haven't gotten enough to fully connect. While there is a fair amount of jumping around with so many PoVs, the book has a sensation of a large city and all its woes in every scene you read. You root for the characters and question their choices already, well written, if currently a bit frustrating (especially since we don't have all the world building yet).
