I am not generally a huge fan of non-fiction, especially books that would be considered self help or dieting books. But reading this book didn't feel like a chore, or that I was being bogged down with too much science jargon. The book almost feels like a friend; encouraging, thoughtful, helpful, and understanding. The author doesn't get preachy or judgmental, rather she demonstrates that she understands why people eat the way they do and that sometimes life just gets in the way. What she DOES do, is provide a multitude of helpful tips and strategies to help people be mindful of their hunger and their attitudes towards eating. This way, you can work on eating in a more healthy manner no matter what your lifestyle is.
