I won’t lie. This book overwhelmed me. And not because I feel it was intentional on the writers behalf... I think it was more me seeing how I feel like every eating mannerism that was talked about I exhibit in some shape way or form. I’m very much into mindfulness but I instantly felt overwhelmed thinking “shit, I feel like I need to fix everything about how I eat”. I think this book has great tips and insights into eating and if you are one who is looking to change their relationship with food I do think it’s a perfect place to venture too. I loved the break down of things that you can do at the end of each section to help with getting better at whatever it is you think you need to improve on. My biggest thing was being present when eating. I have the hardest time of just flying on autopilot and zoning out while I’m at the table and before I know it I’m done eating. It’s a big thing I’ve been trying to work on with being present and mindful and this section really was what I needed with tips on how to get better at it.
