This book really taught me a lot, but I'm not sure that I agree with it. It's clearly well-researched. I sometimes find myself getting angry due to hunger just as Doctor Albers describes, and I was interested to read this and find some insight into why people can feel this way. Doctor Albers spends a fair amount of time addressing strategies, explanations, and advice for eating.
The downside is the first part of the book. Doctor Albers tells many stories about people feeling hangry, how they dealt with it, and why it's bad. I found these to be pretty boring and kind of distracting. It felt like just another dieting book that was preying on people's insecurities. This effect lifted somewhat as the book went on, but it did not improve by much.
If you find dieting and health books helpful, then this is a pretty good one. But it does not distinguish itself from the rest.
