Great and Precious Things is a beautiful story of family, friendship, love, loss, grief, and resilience. Readers will fall in love with Cam, a military hero who has saved more lives than he can count. But he's burdened with immense guilt and grief because the only life that counted was the one he couldn't save -- his brother. When Cam returns to his smaller-than-small hometown to help his ailing father who desperately asks for Cam's help while at the same time forcefully pushing Cam away due to his own crushing grief, Cam is forced to face a town that has always thought the worst of him - while his other brother shines in the limelight of town mayor - and being in close proximity to the only woman he's ever wanted, but could never have - Willow, his late brother's fiance. Willow has loved Cam from day one, even when he was too blind to see it and when he pushed her away because he thought he couldn't have her. Well, Willow's done being pushed away. She's been pushed away by Cam, but her own judgmental father, and by a town that just doesn't understand her. These two are in for the fight of their lives -- to save themselves, their families, and each other.

I fell in love with Rebecca Yarros' work after I laughed, cried, and swooned through The Last Letter, so when BookishFirst offered me the opportunity to read her latest book in exchange for an honest review, I jumped at the chance. I was not disappointed! I devoured this book, loved every page of it, and even though there were a few predictable points I was still surprised by a few plot turns. I will recommend this title to every adult reader I know!
