I have to admit when I first started reading it, I felt that the plot was fairly predictable. While some parts were, others (especially those last few chapters) left me completely surprised in such a good way. First off I loved the characters and how complex they were. Their relationships with each other felt real and not contrived. I feel like there were so many different sides to them, both good and bad, that made them so believable and made you want to root for them. We all have flaws and it is nice that they were shown and not hidden. I think there were some parts of the story that could have been fleshed out a bit better but overall I really enjoyed the plot. It did remind me a bit of Nicholas Sparks who is one of my favorites.
