Believable Story Line, but I Needed More Preview Pages

The cover of the book caught my eye because I did not immediately see the military dog tags off to the side. I know that adjustment to civilian life is a real problem for returning military veterans, and dealing with aging parents is an issue that faces almost all children. The preview pages just weren't enough for me to determine how I feel about this book. So far, I am not into the characters.
