Okay-ish
“Good Boy” by Jennifer Finney Boylan tells the author’s life stages through the dogs they have owned. I received this ARC copy from Celadon Books in exchange for my honest review. It hits the shelves April 21st.
Honestly, this book wasn’t quite my style. Typically I don’t read memoirs or autobiographies, especially of people I haven’t heard of. This book was full of experiences and stories, but it fell short for me somehow and wasn’t quite what I expected. I don't think it kept with the initial theme of dogs as much or something. It just ended up falling flat for me.
I think if I knew of the author or had read any of their other books, this book may have been a different experience for me. At the end of the day I’m only giving it one star.
