I'll be honest I was drawn in by the cover of Good Boy. Very much in the mood for a human to dog companionship novel. I got just that and a coming of age story of Jennifer Finney Boylan and how she had grown to understand love and herself through her different canine companions. I had heard of her in the news and her activism, but I had not read any of her work yet until now. I want to read her other works. Great Dog and Pride novel! I think this is a great novel for all ages, but I feel like this book would really hit home with young adults who are trying to answer questions about their identity and love. If people were more like dogs the world would be a better place. Very emotional and heartwarming book. Four Stars!
