First, I'm not a dog person so I knew this book wasn't for me. However, the writing needs to be more clear because I was confused from the gecko. Then I realized this book is about a transgender person. If you are going to cover this sensitive topic you need to be clear in your writing and confident for the reader in your writing this was not that for me.
