I am not a dog lover. I am a cat person and would rather live with the quiet love they give than the boisterous love you get from dogs. That does not mean I hate dogs. I do not. I like working dogs and I like stories about dogs. We had dogs when I was growing up. Dogs have a place in the universe, even if it isn't in my house. This book appears to be an examination of that place.
